If you go down to the woods today … you will see that information boards have been installed in both Saxten and Cages Wood at the Fawkham Green Road entrance and Wilmay Copse on Sun Hill. These give visitors some details about what can be found in the woods and their history with the aim of providing some insight into these ancient woodlands.
Both woods are managed by the Woodland Trust and Fawkham Parish Council worked with them on the content and design. The boards have been funded by Fawkham Parish Council’s CIL* money
