Fawkham Parish Council had objected to this application, which was refused by SDC. However, the Inspector considered that the harm to the character and appearance of the area, harm to heritage assets, along with minor harm to agriculture, would be outweighed by the benefits of renewable energy generation, biodiversity net gain and the economic benefits that would arise from the appeal scheme. There are a number of conditions attached to the decision.
