Kent Police: Police Engage with Seniors at Sevenoaks Seniors Action Forum

On Friday 4th July, officers from Kent Police attended the Sevenoaks Seniors Action Forum to engage with older residents and listen to the issues that matter most to them. The Forum, which represents over 1,200 members across the Sevenoaks District, plays a vital role in raising concerns that affect seniors, with its voice heard both locally and at county level.

As part of the Forum’s Annual General Meeting, police shared the vision for local neighbourhood policing and how it aligns with the needs of this important demographic.

PC Nick Hubbard commented:
“This forum is a fantastic opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together. It was a great chance to engage with seniors across the Sevenoaks district and we had some meaningful conversations. One gentleman raised concerns about the use of e-scooters in Swanley, and I was able to inform him about our community priority survey and the ‘You Said, We Did’ strategy. This approach allows us to tackle local issues head-on, based on what residents tell us matters most. I look forward to returning in the future to continue building this valuable relationship with the forum.”
