Every year, Fawkham Parish Councillors walk all the Public Right of Ways in the Parish – there are just under 6 miles of them. We report any issues to the landowners and/or to Kent County Council. We requested that steps be put in place in a steep section of one of the footpaths and are pleased to say these were installed earlier this year and can be seen in the photo below. In recent years, a number of stiles have been repaired or replaced, in some cases with metal kissing gates, which KCC provides to the landowners at a subsidised cost.
You can find a map of all the footpaths on our website here:
If you see any issues with a PROW, you can report them direct to KCC: https://www.kent.gov.uk/environment-waste-and-planning/public-rights-of-way/report-a-problem-on-a-right-of-way.
