We have taken the decision to formally close the volunteer group from 1st September – we haven’t had any requests for help since early May. It was great that so many villagers volunteered to help, and also good that not many requests for help were received. If there is a second wave, we know that many will be willing to volunteer again. We also think a volunteer group maybe useful if there’s a very harsh/snowy winter and some people can’t get out to the shops.
Fawkham Parish Council would like to thank everyone who volunteered – it’s been a great example of the community pulling together.
